Hi there cupcake and cake lovers. The summer is in full swing and we are continuing to stay busy with some of your crazy and awesome requests. This week we had a few new challenges which we embraced (I mean really, what else would I do?!?) and a few new nifty cakes in the gallery to show for it. So keep them coming folks, we LOVE it!

We have a few new flavors for your pleasure and are also still working on the new look of the website, so be patient with us!

New flavors- PB&J with an oober yummy whipped peanut butter icing. A few others that are recent additions- The Malibu, Tirimasu and the summer fave- Pretty N' Pink.

Remember to get your orders for cupcakes in early and for sculpted cakes in even earlier. While our schedule isn't tight as Charm City (amazing sculpted cakes of Food Network Fame) we do tend to turn a lot of last minute cake requests do to scheduling conflicts. So call us often and call us early ;)

This week we will be dawning the Triple Berry Independence Cakes at the local shops, so keep your eyes peeled for those and get em fast, they don't last long!

Of course, don't forget to follow us on Twitter for last minute specials and imeadiate news and become a Facebook fan!

The Scooby Cake was an amazing success! The kids and adults loved the cake! It looked so real that they thought it was a sculpture! The Lily Lane Scooby Cake was better than anything we could have imagined!

Schooooools out for summer....almost

I have to get more frequent on my posting here! Seems like the seasons are eagerly flying by.

Well, the weather is definitely heating up and the pools are now open and yes, mom's and dad's, school is almost out. So what better time to send a dozen or so cupcakes to your child's school to tell their teachers and admins "Thanks for a great year!" ? For this week only, order your dozen cupcakes for any Fairfax County school delivery for a flat rate of $38 including delivery. That includes any of our fantastic flavors including a few new ones- Patty Cakes (mint chocolate chip), The Malibu (pineapple, coconut) or our seasonal Pretty N' Pink (strawberry).

Of course all the summer parties and celebrations are lurking right around the corner too, so if you are in need of some kind of insane cake to wow your guests, don't forget to book early. To give you an idea of what we have slotted so far, we have 250 triple berry Patriot Cakes for the forth of July, a Caisson Cake (that is a cannon for you lay folk) a roasted pig cake for a luau and much more!

So if your looking for your cupcakes or cake for a summer party, book early, the summer tends to be pretty packed!

Thanks and happy summer!

RE: Art school or culinary school???? Well I am no expert on the subject and frankly I am saving up for culinary school myself. But I did art school, the Corcoran School of Art if DC with a concentration in sculpture. Who knows what the "right" way is, I think there is merit in either path, but there are some culinary skills that I think are very important while doing this type of work.
